SELF CARE DEFICIT DAN KETERLEWATAN ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN: TINJAUAN KONSEPTUAL

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Keterlewatan asuhan keperawatan merupakan masalah yang sering timbul karena komponen esensial tidak terlaksana sehingga berdampak langsung pada perawatan pasien. Defisit perawatan diri merupkan tindakan  perawat membangun keterampilan keperawatan esensial berdasarkan tingkat defisit perawatan diri yang dialami individu, karena individu tersebut mengalami ketidakmampuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan perawatan diri. Tujuan: untuk membahas dan menganalisis teori tentang hubungan antara  keperawatan yang terlewat dan defisit perawatan diri. Metode: Menggunakan tiga basis data, yaitu Science Direct, PubMed, dan Proquest. Hasil: Faktor-faktor seperti karakteristik individual, beban kerja, sumber daya keperawatan, komunikasi interprofesional, dan dukungan organisasi yang mempengaruhi keterlewatan asuhan keperawatan. Elemen perawatan seperti reposis pasien, perawatan mulut, pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi, pemantauan tanda-tanda vital, dan edukasi pasien yang sering terlewat. Dampak yang muncul meliputi menurun tingkat kepuasaan pasien, durasi rawat inap, infeksi nosokomial, dan luka dekubitus. Kesimpulan: Ketika individu mengalami ketidakmampuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan perawatan diri akibat kondisi penyakit, cedera, atau keterbatasan tertentu, maka terjadi defisit perawatan diri. Defisit perawatan diri pasien menjadi masalah karena terdapat aspek-aspek keperawatan yang tidak dilakukan oleh perawat, karena beberapa faktor yang menimbulkan penyebabnya, sehingga terjadi keterlewatan asuhan keperawatan.
