Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how the media consumption behaviors of iKON fans group in Twitter social media. Besides it is also to know the influence of media consumption behaviors and fanaticism attitude when they are making communication and interaction with the same iKON fans in Twitter social media. This research uses qualitative approach by means of purposive sampling technique to select research objects because it is related to criteria. Here, criteria means Twitter active users who join iKONIC fandom. Data collecting method uses interview via google form, observation, and documentation. Data analysis technique uses data reduction, presentation and conclusion. The result of this research : (1) media consumption behavior of icon fans group influences socially to iKON fans when they communicate and interact with the same fans who even have different characteristics, (2) fanaticism attitude shown by fans who are enthusiast while they are getting information can influence their cognitive aspect and this gives a sight about how an iKON fan is able to manage received information in Twitter.
