Abstract

Role comes from the word role, which means something that holds the main leadership or a very decisive element in the occurrence of a thing or event. In this case, it concerns the main tasks and functions of Islamic religious educators. The position and function of the Majlis Taklim is as a place of study, congregational interaction and a forum for mutual learning and maturity in knowledge, charity and behavior. In the big Indonesian dictionary, role is defined as an action taken by someone in an event and that action has a big influence in moving society. The task of Counseling in this case is how to instill character in young prospective brides and married couples who have conflicts in the family, so that they have confidence and awareness of the truth of doctrine or values that are manifested in attitudes and behavior that can take place through counseling. The role of Islamic Religious Counselors in character education for young brides and young married couples in KUA Tugu District, Trenggalek Regency, is an effort to mobilize young prospective brides and young married couples to be able to appreciate a religious teachings and doctrines, so that after completing the counseling activities in the Majlis Taklim activity they are able to become a better married couple, can form a sakinah, mawaddah, warahmah family.
