Moderation education in the life of Gus Dur and BuyaHamka's thoughts in everyday life. This research uses the literature study method of the original works of the two figures as the main source. The Islamic moderation exemplified by these two figures is the face of Indonesian Islam that is peaceful, harmonious and tolerant, comprehensive, balanced between text and context, divinity and human values, individuals and groups, religion and nationality as well as human attitudes and aspirations in shapingpious person both spiritually and socially.
