AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Isoquant: Jurnal Ekonomi, Manajemen, dan Akuntansi

1. Introduction

Isoquant: Jurnal Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Akuntansi with register number  2598-7496 (Print) and ISSN 2599-0578 (Online), a scientific journal published by the Faculty of Economics, Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo at the national level covering many general problems or issues that related to Economics, Management, and Accounting. The purpose of this journal publication is to disseminate conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the fields of management and business. Isoquant: Jurnal Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Akuntansi invites you to submit your manuscript and be published in this journal

2. How to write the title, name, and author's address

The title of the manuscript must be written at the top of the first page with the text aligned in the middle. Meanwhile, the name of the author (without an academic degree), and the address of the author's affiliation starting from the smallest unit to the address and postal code, must be written with center text alignment below the article title. Then, the space between the author's affiliation address and the abstract title is one space. Keywords must be written under the overall abstract for all words. They should be arranged in alphabetical order and separated by commas of a maximum of three to five words. The responsible author, corresponding author, or corresponding author should be written first followed by the second, third, and so on. Communication regarding article revisions and final statements will be communicated via email to the corresponding author only. If there is more than one author, the author's name must be included and written separately with a comma (,). If the author's name consists of at least two words, the first name cannot be abbreviated. If the author's name is only one word, it should be written as is. However, in the online version, it will be written in two words with the same name repeatedly for metadata indexing purposes.

3. General Guidelines for Writing Articles

General guidelines for manuscript texts are as follows:

  1. Manuscripts are authentic research results that have never been published by other publication media or publishers.
  2. The manuscript does not contain elements of plagiarism. The editorial board will immediately reject texts that indicate plagiarism.
  3. The submission and publication process is free, without additional costs.
  4. Manuscripts that have been written under the guidelines of Isoquant: Jurnal Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Akuntansi (in MS Word format, use this article template) and must be submitted via the Open Journal System (OJS) on Isoquant: Jurnal Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Akuntansi ( ). Then, register as one of the authors or reviewers at the top of "Register".
  5. Guidelines for writing manuscript articles and templates can be downloaded. Templates and article writing guides are available in MS Word (Word) format.
  6. Online submission manuscripts can be seen in the online submission guidelines section below.
  7. Manuscripts that do not comply with the Isoquant: Jurnal Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Akuntansi writing guidelines will be returned to the author before the review process.
  8. The manuscript must contain several aspects of a scientific article as follows: (subtitles in order), namely: (a) article title, (b) author's name (academic degree number), (c) affiliated author's address (from the smallest unit, address and postal code), (d) author's email (e) abstract sentence and keywords, (f) introduction, (g) literature review, (h) research method (i) research results and discussion, (j) conclusion, (k) reference.
  9. Subheadings included in the discussion section (Introduction, Theoretical Review, Writing Method, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion) must be numbered in the section. The numbering sequence starts from the letter A. Subheadings are written in bold and the special format for this title uses left text alignment without underscore. Furthermore, expanded subtitles must be written in bold and in sentence format, and must use left text alignment and level two numbering format.
  10. The manuscript is written in Indonesian. The manuscript must consist of five (5) to twenty-five (20) pages including figures and tables. The manuscript text must be written according to the article template. Articles are written on A4 size paper (210x297 mm), with custom margins as follows: left 3 cm, right 2.5 cm, bottom 2.5 cm, and top 2.5 cm.
  11. Words from uncommon or foreign languages are expressed in Italic format. For articles in Indonesian, foreign terms or words should be avoided. Each paragraph starts 10mm from the left side border with no space between paragraphs. All numbers are written in number format, except for new sentences.
  12. Tables and figures are placed in the text group after the table or figure to which the photographs reference. Each image must be provided with a caption (Figure Caption) below the image and numbered in a numbering format followed by the image title. Each table must be given a table title (Table Caption) and numbered in the numbering format above the table followed by the table title. Image attachments should print well (font size, resolution, and line spacing visible). Images, tables, and charts should be centered between groups of text. If the size is larger, it can be placed in the middle of the page. Tables should not contain vertical lines, while horizontal lines are only allowed for important points.
4. Guidelines for Writing Article Content
  1. Manuscript title: The title must be informative and written briefly and clearly, a maximum of 15 words. There cannot be multiple interpretations, it must be appropriate to the issues to be discussed. The initial word is written in capital letters and symmetrically. The title of the article does not contain any unusual abbreviations. The main idea should be written first and followed by an explanation. Meanwhile, the abstract must be written in a maximum of 250 words and followed by three to five keywords.
  2. Introduction: The introduction must contain (order and sequence) the background and literature review as the basis of the research question, statement of the new scientific article, main research problem, and hypothesis. At the end of the introduction, the purpose of writing the article must be stated. In scientific article format, references are not allowed as in research reports. Should be represented in the literature review to indicate new scientific articles.
  3. Literature Review: A literature review article contains analysis and commentary on publications in a particular research area (latest 10-year trends). Over a larger subject area, a review may indicate important works on that topic. However, new and emerging areas may have a body of knowledge that is small enough to cover in its entirety. The purpose of a literature review article is to describe the general state or condition of the topic being discussed and analyze and criticize the latest trends and developments in that topic.
  4. Research Methods: Methods applied to solve problems, including analytical methods. The method used in solving this research problem is explained in this section.
  5. Discussion and Results: This section contains the research results and how the results are discussed. The results obtained from research must be supported by sufficient data. The research results and findings must be the answer or research hypothesis stated previously in the introduction.
  6. Conclusion: This is the last section which contains conclusions and suggestions. The conclusion will be the answer to the hypothesis, research objectives, and research findings. Conclusions should not only contain repetition of results and discussion. This should be a summary of the author's research results and it is hoped that the research objectives or hypothesis contain suggestions related to further ideas from the research.
  7. References: All references used in the article must be included in this section. In this section, all references used must be taken from primary sources (scientific journals and at least 50% of all references) published in the last 10 years. Each article must have at least ten references. Must include at least 3 references from articles that have been published in Isoquant: Jurnal Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Akuntansi.
5. Citation and Reference Guidelines

All data or quotations presented in the article must be taken from other authors' articles attaching reference sources. References should use a reference management application such as Mendeley, End Note, or Zotero. The writing format used in Isoquant: Journal of Economics, Management, and Accounting follows the format applied by APA 6th Edition (American Psychological Association).

6. Guidelines for Submitting Articles Online
 
Articles must be submitted in MS Word (Word) format and sent via the Open Journal System (OJS) Isoquant: Journal of Economics, Management and Accounting, with the following steps:
  1. Documents must be submitted by the Online Journal System at Isoquant: Journal of Economics, Management and Accounting.
  2. First, the author must register as a writer or reviewer (check the role as a writer or reviewer) in the "Register" section.
  3. After the registration steps are complete, log in as an author, and click "New Submit". The article submission stages consist of five stages, namely: (1). Beginning, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Files and Additional files, (5). Confirmation.

a)       In the "Start" column, select Journal Section (Full Article), and check all checklists.

b)      In the "Upload Submission" column, upload the manuscript file in MS Word format in this column.

c)       In the "Enter Metadata" column, fill in all author and affiliation data including Journal Title, Abstract, and Indexing Keywords.

d)      In the "Upload Additional Files" column, authors are allowed to upload additional files, evidence of article plagiarism, statement letters, or others.

e)      In the "Confirmation" column, if all the data you entered is correct, then click "Complete Delivery".

f)       If the author experiences difficulties in the submission process via the online system, please contact the Isoquant editorial team at the Call Center: 089524159515

 

There is no charge for submitting articles (free) and there is only a publishing fee  (APC).

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
